Help develop our children’s sense of community responsibility by being responsible for food drives, and other events to help the community throughout the year.

Organizes the annual PTA Blood Drive with a representative from Hudson Valley Blood Services. Responsibilities include seeking donors from within the Noxon Road School community and outside the school, maintaining a schedule of potential donor appointments, requesting help from 5th graders to work at the blood drive (or provide refreshments for donors), and maintaining a schedule of 5th grade helpers to ensure coverage throughout the blood drive.

Co-chairs: setup, organize and facilitate initial committee meetings. Initial meetings are held to organize specific "task" committees (such as Decorations, Invitations & Programs, Food, Certificates, Corsages & Pins, Music, Dedication, and Gift to the Students), select "task" committee chairs, and to ensure that there are a sufficient number of volunteers for each committee.
Certificates: Create the certificates for ceremony.
Corsages & Pins: Decide on and order corsages and pins for 5th graders to wear during ceremony
Decorations: Decide on and make the decorations for ceremony.
Dedication: Help 5th graders decide on what gift they will donate to the school.
Food: Organize the snack food and drink for families to enjoy after ceremony.
Gift to Students: Decide on and make/buy gifts for the 5th graders.
Music: Decide o and organize music to be played/sung during ceremony.
Programs & Invitations: Create the programs and invitations for the moving up day ceremony.
